After enabling third-party videos, Vines, and GIFs, Twitter will soon allow all users to create and share native videos on its service. According to a blog post by Twitter’s VP of product, Kevin Weil, tweeters can expect to record and edit their videos on the social site “in the first half of next year.” This comes after Twitter gave advertising partners the ability to share premium video content on the platform. Networks, media companies, and consumer brands have been taking advantage of the technology, available via the company’s Twitter Amplify program.
