Akamai saw its third quarter revenue jump 26% year over year to $498 million, allowing the company to post a profit of $91 million, up 14%.

The cloud services company’s results were buoyed by marked increases in security and media products, with better-than-expected traffic and revenue growth from the media delivery solutions division.

“Akamai delivered very strong third quarter financial results across every product and geography, with media driving the top and bottom line performance above our guidance range,” said Akamai CEO Tom Leighton. “We continued to invest across our business to develop unique, innovative solutions designed to help our customers drive business online in an increasingly complex, hyper-connected world.”
